Big thanks to this group of dedicated Blue Valley School District educators who are delivering the 5-hour in-person training in the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course to more than 30 BV parents, caregivers, and staff members from across the district today and tomorrow. And thank you to all the participants who dedicated time and energy to completing the course and learning more about youth mental health.MHFA is an evidence-based, early-intervention course. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, MHFA teaches you how to assist and support someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.BV Well and BLUE VALLEY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION are so proud to partner with our educators to further extend mental health and wellness awareness and support in our community.If you're interested in participating in a future Youth MHFA course, drop an email to bvef@bluevalleyk12.org to be added to the interest list.
