From Our Cottage Kitchen to Your Table: The Delicious Journey of Our Easy Fire Cider

Ruby Ann and I were in our cozy cottage kitchen, surrounded by the mouthwatering aroma of garlic, ginger, and onion.

We were excited to make our own fire cider, a homemade tonic that would boost our immune system.

While Ruby Ann and I chopped the fresh ingredients.

We added the chopped garlic, ginger, and onion to the jar, along with a handful of peppercorns and cloves crushed up with our mortar and pestle, a few sprigs of fresh thyme and rosemary, and a few slices of orange and lemon.

We chopped some horseradish root and turmeric root for an added kick and topped it off with some chopped jalapeño peppers.

Finally, we added a few cinnamon sticks and cloves for warmth and depth of flavor.

We topped off the mixture with organic apple cider vinegar and sealed the jar, then set it in a dark corner of the kitchen to ferment for four weeks, shaking it occasionally to ensure all the flavors melded together.

As we waited for the fire cider to ferment, we got busy decorating with more fall decorations filming our upcoming YT videos, and editing them.

Four weeks later, the cider was finally ready; we strained it placed the liquid into a clean jar, and took our first sip.

The tangy, spicy flavor of the fire cider was invigorating, and we both felt a sense of warmth and comfort.

From that day forward, Ruby Ann and I have made fire cider together every October, a tradition that not only helps keep us healthy and strong but also brings us closer together.

We love sharing our creations with our cottage community here on our blog.

We hope you enjoy the recipe!
